Desi Resin Art operates exclusively on a custom-order basis. This means every product we create is designed and handcrafted based on the specific requirements shared by the customer. We do not sell pre-made, ready-to-ship, or mass-produced items. This policy explains how the custom order process works and what both parties can expect.
1. All Orders Are Custom
There is no inventory, no shopping cart, and no instant checkout on our website. Every single item we create is made from scratch based on your individual requirements. This is the core of our business model.
This means:
- You must contact us to initiate an order — you cannot order directly through the website.
- Every order goes through a discussion, quotation, and confirmation process before production begins.
- No two orders are identical, even if the descriptions sound similar, because handmade work naturally varies.
- We do not maintain stock or offer "buy now" options for any product.
2. Inquiry Process
To start an order, contact us via:
In your initial message, try to include as much of the following as possible (but don't worry if you can't — we'll help you fill in the gaps):
- Type of product (coasters, wall art, jewellery, tray, nameplate, etc.)
- Colour preferences or palette
- Approximate size or dimensions
- Purpose (personal use, gift, corporate, event)
- Any elements you want embedded (dried flowers, glitter, foil, photos, names, etc.)
- Reference images showing the style you like
- Deadline (if any)
- Budget range (optional, but helps us suggest appropriate options)
3. Quotation
After reviewing your requirements, we prepare a custom quotation. This quotation is:
- Specific to your order: Pricing reflects the exact requirements you've shared — size, complexity, materials, finishing, etc.
- Not transferable: A quotation for one order cannot be applied to a different order, even if the products seem similar.
- Valid for 7 days: After 7 days, the quotation may need to be revised based on material availability and cost changes.
- Non-binding: Receiving a quotation does not obligate you to proceed. You can decline, request modifications, or ask questions.
The quotation may include: product cost, shipping charges (if applicable), payment terms, and estimated production and delivery timeline.
4. Order Confirmation
An order is considered confirmed only when all of the following are true:
- You have received and reviewed the quotation.
- You have explicitly approved the design, colours, size, specifications, and price.
- All design and finishing details have been mutually agreed upon.
- Payment terms have been fulfilled as agreed (advance payment, full payment, etc.).
We never begin production based on verbal agreements, assumed confirmations, or incomplete approvals. Explicit, written confirmation (via email or WhatsApp) is required.
5. Design Accuracy & Handmade Variations
We make every reasonable effort to match the design you've described or referenced. However, please understand the following about handmade resin art:
- Exact replication is not possible. Resin art involves liquid materials that flow, mix, and settle in partially organic ways. The exact pattern, colour distribution, and flow of resin cannot be controlled with precision.
- Reference images are guides, not templates. If you share an inspiration photo, your product will be "inspired by" that image — not an exact copy of it.
- Colour accuracy depends on multiple factors. The final colour may differ slightly from what you see on your screen, in a reference photo, or in your imagination. Resin pigments can shift subtly during curing, and screen calibration affects how colours appear digitally.
- Minor imperfections are part of the craft. Tiny air bubbles, slight unevenness in hand-poured edges, or subtle texture differences are characteristics of handmade work, not defects.
If you have very specific or non-negotiable expectations about a particular aspect of the design, please communicate these clearly before confirming. We will tell you honestly whether those expectations are achievable.
6. Changes After Order Confirmation
If you need to make changes to your order after it has been confirmed:
- Before production starts: Minor changes (e.g., slight colour adjustment) may be accommodated at no extra cost. Significant changes (e.g., different product type, larger size) may require a revised quotation and adjusted timeline.
- During early production: Changes may or may not be possible depending on what stage we're at. Contact us immediately to discuss.
- During late production or curing: Changes are generally not possible. Once resin is poured and curing, the process cannot be reversed.
- After completion: No changes can be made to a finished product.
We strongly recommend finalizing all details before confirming to avoid complications during production.
7. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate requirements: The more specific you are about what you want, the better the result.
- Confirming all details before production: Once you approve, we build based on that approval.
- Responding in a timely manner: Delays in your responses can delay production and delivery.
- Providing a correct shipping address: We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect addresses.
- Understanding the handmade nature: Accept that minor variations from reference images are inherent to handmade resin art.
- Reading all relevant policies: Please review our Terms, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Disclaimer before ordering.
8. Bulk & Corporate Orders
For orders of multiple units (e.g., corporate gifts, event giveaways, wedding favours):
- Contact us with the quantity, design direction, and timeline.
- We provide a bulk quotation with per-unit pricing.
- A sample piece may be created first for your approval (additional cost may apply).
- Production timelines are longer for bulk orders — plan ahead.
- While we maintain consistency across a batch, each piece will still have the natural variations inherent to handmade work.
9. Right to Decline Orders
We reserve the right to decline any order that:
- Exceeds our current production capacity or timeline constraints.
- Involves designs or requirements that are beyond our technical capability.
- Includes content that is offensive, illegal, or violates intellectual property rights.
- Involves unreasonable expectations that we cannot meet honestly.
If we decline an order, we will explain why and, where possible, suggest alternatives.
